Mic Connection with PAM8403 5V Audio Amplifier Circuit

Project Overview

In this project, we will learn how to connect an electric condenser microphone with a PAM8403 audio amplifier module to build a mini sound amplification system. This simple circuit is powered by 5V DC and is perfect for beginner electronics learners and hobbyists.


Materials for the Project

  1. PAM8403 Stereo Audio Amplifier Module (5V DC)

  2. Electric Condenser Microphone

  3. Electrolytic Capacitor – 470 µF (16V)

  4. Resistor – 10k ohm

  5. 5V DC Power Source (USB, Battery, or Adapter)

  6. Two Mini Speakers (Left & Right output)


Circuit Description:

  1. Microphone Section:

    • The electric mic captures sound waves and converts them into analog electrical signals.

    • The 470 µF capacitor is connected in series to filter DC and pass only the audio signal.

    • A 10k ohm resistor is used to bias the mic from the 5V power line.

  2. Amplifier Module (PAM8403):

    • The filtered signal from the mic is fed to the input pin (L-IN) of the PAM8403.

    • The module amplifies this audio signal and sends it to the connected left and right speakers.

  3. Power Supply:

    • The amplifier operates at 5V DC, which makes it ideal for USB or portable battery-powered projects.
